Matt met Pla while working and teaching in Thailand. Since then he has changed careers twice and even built several businesses so that they can be together. He is committed to Pla and will move heaven and earth to be together. He is excited to marry his bride and start a family together.

Pla was an international traditional thai dancer when she met Matt. While working in Dubai and Matt was on the cruise ships, Pla and Matt messaged each other daily and quickly fell in love. She is most excited about being with Matt and raising a family together in America.

Pla’s Birthday in Khon Kaen

We will start the celebrations off in Pla’s hometown. Food, drinks, and dancing at a local venue in Khon Kaen.

Thai Ceremony

In the morning, Matt will lead a parade through Pla’s childhood neighborhood to her family’s home. This is one of the main traditions in a Thai wedding. That night will be a dinner and a reception party at a hotel’s ball room in Khon Kaen

Travel to Khao Yai

This will be a relaxing day where we load up in vans and cars and travel from Khon Kaen to Khao Yai. 4 hour drive. That night we will have dinner at Toscana Khao Yai where Matt proposed to Pla. Toscana is nestled in an amazing Italian themed valley.

Set Up for the wedding

We will be preparing for the wedding at The Peri, Khao Yai. Making sure the tables, flowers, lights, and pictures are all in place. Dinner this night will be at Vincotto at Gran Monte vineyard nearby.

Main Ceremony at The Peri, Khao Yai

Western tradition wedding at the outdoor venue located at the resort. The ceremony lasts from 4pm til 10pm and includes Thai and Western dinners, live music, drinks, dancing, as well as arts and crafts for kids.

Wedding Events

The wedding will be divided into different ceremonies, one for the Thai Traditions and the Western Traditions. A Traditional Thai ceremony starts off with the groom leading a procession through the bride's hometown. Join us and experience a portion of a traditional Thai Ceremony! For the Western Tradition, the wedding will be outdoors in the courtyard venue at The Peri, Khao Yai. Afterwards we will feast together will both a Thai BBQ and Western BBQ and enjoy live music, drinks, dancing, a dj, crafts and games for the kids, and much more. We hope you can join us for both ceremonies
